Abstract:

Alumina-supported Cs3[Re(C2O4)3] precursor has been synthesized  for preparation of Re-Cs/g-Al2O3 catalyst. Cs3[Re(C2O4)3]  has been prepared from the reaction of ReCl3 with  H2C2O4.2H2O and CsCl in water. The complex has been characterized by elemental analysis and various spectroscopy techniques such as FT-IR, UV-Vis and 13C-NMR. The complex was supported on γ-Al2O3 by column chromatography. Cs3[Re(C2O4)3]/Al2O3 was calcined at 600 °C for 6 h. Characterization of both precursor and calcined catalyst were carried out using XRD, BET specific surface area and thermal analysis methods (TGA/DSC).

Rhenium Nanochemistry for Catalyst Preparation

The review presents synthetic approaches to modern rhenium-based catalysts. Creation of an active center is considered as a process of obtaining a nanoparticle or a molecule, immobilized within a matrix of the substrate. Selective chemical routes to preparation of particles of rhenium alloys, rhenium oxides and the molecules of alkyltrioxorhenium, and their insertion into porous structure of ze...

A sol-gel based method for preparation of Ni/La-Al2O3 as a new catalyst for dechlorination of monochlorobenzene

In this study, two new Ni/La-Al2O3 catalysts were prepared by a sol-gel method, with different aluminium precursors (aluminium triisopropoxide and aluminium nitrate). The catalysts were characterized by scanning electron microscope (SEM), X-ray fluorescence (XRF), X-ray diffraction (XRD), BET specific surface area, and particle size analysis (PSA) techniques. The BET results showed that the par...

Catalytic Reforming of n-Heptane on Platimum - Rhenium Supported on Gamma-Alumina

Catalyitic reforming is one of the refinery processes in catalyst conversion that results to anincreases in octane number of naphtan which leads to production of gasoline with higher octanenumber. Hydrocarbons with high octan number that are produced in reforming process are as;aromatics, paraffins, isomers and etc.Not only Aromatics are used as fuel for motors but they are also useful in petro...
